I teach a gentle yoga class to nurture the body and nourish the soul. Moving into yoga poses with a playful curiosity, participants observe their thoughts and feelings as they focus within. Cultivating compassion in each stretch, stress and tension are released from the body as strength and flexibility are developed. Reflecting on scripture as participants rest in poses, wisdom is embodied and a deepening peace envelopes the mind, body and spirit.
This is a mindful yoga practice that systematically develops self-awareness as it grounds participants in the grace that is powerfully at work within us all. It awakens the heart to the Presence that calls us to mature in our faith so we may see God in each other and all creation. Through workshops and retreats focused on spiritual formation practices, I seek to help others grow their spiritual self and become more like Christ through the action of the Holy Spirit.
